A personal introduction by Pete Johnson
Dog snatching - that's what Sam and Ella investigate in their second and most tense mystery: The Canine Conspiracy.
First their friend Laura's dog vanishes. Then a second dog disappears. It looks as if Sam and Ella will need all their special powers to solve this case . . .
This is a special book for me. I love dogs. Here is a picture of me with my first dog, Kelly, who greatly enjoyed digging up the garden. Incidentally, when Dodie Smith (the author of 101 Dalmatians, with whom I corresponded for many years) asked me to post a picture of myself, this is the the one I sent. She replied, "Kelly looks absolutely wonderful, and you don't look too bad either."
I now have a dog called Tilly, who is a mad King Charles Spaniel. She loves walks, food and sleeping on my bed. She hates doorbells, having her nails trimmed, and being on her own.
I think all dog-lovers will find 2-Power: The Canine Conspiracy especially powerful - and gripping. |
